Text Box: Episcia ĎStar of Bethlehem
Text Box: Episcia Star of Bethlehem is a very beautiful plant. As you can see in the picture it has a very unique flower! This episcia blooms cream tubular flowers with pink mauve stripes. Episcias are relatives to the African violets but they are much easier to grow. Here are a few pictures of my Episica Star of Bethlehem. I just took these pictures on July 2nd 2010. The flowers are just beautiful. The leaves are a dark bronze color. I know it is hard to believe, but this episcia is very easy to grow. Episcias native habitant are from North and South Mexico, Brazil and the West Indes. Episcias are mostly found in tropical shaded places. They like to grow in warm temperatures and high humidity. I grow all of my episcias on the patio in the summer in Texas. The temperatures in Texas in the summer can get extremely high and the humidity makes it feel even hotter!
